Fitsy - Size Chart Simplified (“Fitsy”, the “App”) is a Shopify app that shows size charts and fit information on product pages. It is operated by App Factory (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when a merchant installs and uses the App, how we use it, and the choices available. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
1. Information we collect
From Shopify when you install the App
- Your store’s myshopify.com domain, store name, store contact email and language.
- Access tokens that let the App work with your store. If Shopify includes details of the staff account that opened the App (name, email, language), they are stored with that session.
- Your plan and subscription status. Payments are handled entirely by Shopify; we never receive card or bank details.
The App asks Shopify only for permission to read and write products and to read themes. It cannot access your customers, orders or payments.
Content you create in the App
- Size charts: sizes, measurement columns and values, and the products, collections or product tags each chart applies to.
- App settings, such as your default unit (cm or inches).
Support requests
When you contact us through the App’s support form, we receive the email address you give us, your message and topic, and your store domain, plan and number of charts so we can help without asking about your setup.
Technical logs
Our servers keep logs of requests and errors (for example the store domain, the page requested and the time) to run and secure the App. Logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period.
2. Your store’s customers
Fitsy does not collect personal information from shoppers. The size chart on your product pages is built from data saved in your store; it sends no requests to our servers and sets no cookies. If a shopper switches between cm and inches, that choice is remembered only in their own browser (local storage).
3. How we use information
- To provide the App: storing your charts and writing them to your store (product and shop metafields) so your theme can display them.
- To apply your plan and its chart limits.
- To answer support requests and send messages about the App.
- To keep the App secure, fix problems and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell information, use it for advertising, or track shoppers.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only with the services that run the App:
- Shopify: the platform the App runs on, including billing.
- Railway: application hosting and database (servers in the European Union, Netherlands).
- Cloudflare: domain name, encryption (TLS) and traffic protection.
- Resend: delivers support requests to our inbox.
We may also disclose information when required by law, or to a successor if the App is transferred, under terms that protect it as this policy does.
5. Retention and deletion
- We keep your data while the App is installed.
- When you uninstall, the App’s access tokens are deleted right away.
- Shopify notifies us 48 hours after uninstall, and we then delete all data we hold for your store, including charts, settings and support requests.
- Chart data the App wrote to your store’s metafields stays in your store until you delete it.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict its use. Email [email protected] from your store’s address and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
We respond to Shopify’s privacy requests (customer data requests, customer redaction and shop redaction). Because Fitsy holds no shopper data, customer requests have nothing to return.
7. Security
All traffic to the App is encrypted with TLS, requests from Shopify are verified with signatures, and access to production systems is limited to the people who run the App. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
8. International transfers
Our hosting is in the European Union. Some of the services above may process information in other countries, including the United States, with safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
9. Children
The App is for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell merchants in the App about significant changes.
